And yet: no New Zealand politician has uttered a single word about them.

He is not a citizen of Aotearoa. He is a parasite who purchased a passport and a bolt-hole — a doomsday prepper who views this country as a luxury bunker for when the civilisation he helped destabilise collapses.
Palantir: The Eye of Sauron in Wellington
What makes the Thiel connection existentially dangerous for Aotearoa is Palantir Technologies — the surveillance company he co-founded in 2004 with initial CIA backing. The company was named after the "seeing stones" in Tolkien's Lord of the Rings, used to spy on distant lands, as ProPublica detailed.
The New Zealand Defence Force has spent millions on Palantir software since 2012, as the Otago Daily Times reported. The NZDF initially refused to disclose the relationship — claiming that confirming contact could "prejudice national security."
